Welcome to the Frontline Herbalism Podcast with your host, Nicole Rose from the
Nicole:Solidarity Apothecary.
Nicole:This is your place for all things plants and
Nicole:liberation.
Nicole:Let's get started.
Nicole:Hello.
Nicole:Welcome back to the Frontline Herbalism
Nicole:Podcast.
Nicole:I am yet again recording this in a car, in a
Nicole:car park because of childcare challenges.
Nicole:And I'm really sorry about the sound quality.
Nicole:One, my voice is going to.
Nicole:And two,
Nicole:my microphone is for some reason not working, like the adapter for my computer isn't working
Nicole:for it.
Nicole:So anyway, I'm really sorry about the quality.
Nicole:I just wanted to say that the Herbalism PTSD and Traumatic Stress course is open for
Nicole:enrolment again.
Nicole:Woohoo.
Nicole:So you've probably heard me talk about this course on every single episode of this
Nicole:podcast, but it's like my main course,
Nicole:body of work that explores all about trauma and different nervous system states and the
Nicole:physiology of the nervous system,
Nicole:as well as how do we collectively respond to trauma and traumatic stress, like the
Nicole:political nature of trauma.
Nicole:And then it really goes deep into nervines, which are plants with an affinity for the
Nicole:nervous system.
Nicole:We look at 32 plants in depth with their own
Nicole:profiles, like their own video recordings,
Nicole:exploring their medicinal actions and their kind of role in recovery from trauma with, you
Nicole:know, a lot of nuance and experience.
Nicole:And yeah, this **** in practice.
Nicole:And you know, if you're new to herbalism, it's got like all the things about medicine making
Nicole:and how to forage safely and sustainably and herbal safety stuff and yeah, all the things.
Nicole:So, yeah, it is open for enrollment.
Nicole:Please check out the show notes of the podcast.
Nicole:I'm going to link in where all the other episodes are, where I'm talking about the
Nicole:course in much more depth.
Nicole:I talk about the modules, how it was designed,
Nicole:how it's structured.
Nicole:So please check that out.
Nicole:But yeah, please, please enroll if you're
Nicole:interested.
Nicole:It's going to be available until early October.
Nicole:And yeah, I'm going to be talking about it more on, on upcoming episodes, but I just,
Nicole:yeah, I just wanted to like nip on the podcast and tell you that it is.
Nicole:Yeah, it is.
Nicole:Ready to join.
Nicole:It's completely sliding scale.
Nicole:No one is turned away for lack of funds.
Nicole:You can access it for free if needed.
Nicole:But you know, like, financial contributions are seriously welcome, especially as I'm a
Nicole:serious single parent with a toddler,
Nicole:which again, is its own podcast episode at a later date.
Nicole:Like they say, talk about your scars, not your wounds.
Nicole:So I won't share the kind of **** show of things happening at the moment with my family,
Nicole:but we're all okay.
Nicole:And yeah,
Nicole:the baby is.
Nicole:He's doing great and is the best thing ever.
Nicole:But anyway, yeah, if you can put some funds in, like a donation that's like amazing.
Nicole:You're welcome to sign up to one of the payment plans so you can pay small amounts
Nicole:over several months.
Nicole:And all of the money, like it pays for my kind of livelihood, like my, the monthly salary
Nicole:that I take, but it really like sustains the solidarity apothecary.
Nicole:So it gets the books to prisoners, it gets the care packages out to people.
Nicole:Means I can do one to one support with working class comrades and people without access to
Nicole:funds.
Nicole:You know, it used to enable me to go to
Nicole:Calais,
Nicole:which I'm not doing at the moment because of the baby, but I'm still involved in the mobile
Nicole:herbal clinic project as you know.
Nicole:And yeah, it just ******* enables everything.
Nicole:So please, please, please sign up if you're keen.
Nicole:I think it's a really high quality learning experience.
Nicole:And yeah, there's not very many offerings that are similar out there.
Nicole:And yeah, it's just part of this whole like solidarity economy with the course like your
Nicole:contribution is going towards like shitloads of other solidarity work.
Nicole:So yeah, thank you for taking an interest.
Nicole:Please check it out.
Nicole:And yeah, thanks for listening.
Nicole:I will be back soon.
Nicole:Okay, bye.
Nicole:Thanks so much for listening to the Frontline Herbalism podcast.
