27 – State Repression, Trauma and the Body, Part 1

This is part one of a webinar that took place Sunday 7th May. It was kindly hosted by the Civil Liberties Defense Center and organised by anarchist Cindy Milstein in solidarity with the movement to Stop Cop City.

This webinar introduces the traumatic dynamics of state repression and the important role of solidarity and care in mitigating the violence of the state. We will explore how trauma can affect the body, and common ways we express distress from nightmares to panic attacks. We will look at what we can do to reduce the risks of PTSD and build collective strength when resisting repression.

This part explores Nicole’s story of repression and its personal and movement impacts.
