96 – Last weekend to join!

Hello. Welcome back to the Frontline Herbalism Podcast.

I hope you are well.

I hope you enjoyed the last episode about herbal support for trauma.

I know it was a lot of like, oh, I talk about this more in the course and, oh, this is just

a quick summary of this.

But yeah, I wanted to do like further episodes, like building on it all.

But yeah, just.

Just not possible without, like, more

childcare help.

So, yeah, thank you for your patience with me.

I do, yeah, I am really excited about the future of the podcast.

Like I've mentioned so many times, I've got a whole spreadsheet of people I'd love to

interview and, you know, a bunch of ideas for kind of solo episodes.

But yeah, and just really up against it with looking after my beautiful boy Lee.

It's just.

It's just hard.

And yeah, we found an amazing nursery, so he's going to be starting just like only doing like

three mornings a week for a few hours.

But it will just really take the pressure off, I think.

So, yeah, I'm kind of dreading and also really looking forward to that in terms of being able

to kind of, yeah.

Be a bit more consistent with the solid apothecary.

But I'm really doing my best and one of the values of the apothecary is care and joy.

So, yeah, I don't want to like, exploit myself for other people.

Like, you know, I spent like 20 odd years doing that.

So, like, yeah, I'm trying to, like, be as compassionate to myself as I would be to

someone else.

About.

Yeah, the first year of a baby's life is really hard.

While I'm sure all the future parenting years is hard.

But yeah, without that kind of block of a solid childcare support, it's just really

difficult.

So, yeah, thank you so much for your patience and thank you so much to everyone who signed

I just wanted to like, hop on now to say that

is literally the last weekend to join.

Enrollment is closing tomorrow.

So, yeah, normally I would stay up late till midnight and shut it, but I'm gonna obviously

be kind of doing all the work to make it to kind of close it.

Close the enrollment infrastructure down on Monday.

So, yeah, you've kind of got the whole of Sunday night, if that makes sense.

But don't leave it too last minute because if you have a problem with your card or

something, I Might not be able to get back to you, but as long as you email me within that

time FR if you have any trouble with the sign up process,

then like I will be able to manually onboard you.

It's just a lot longer and slower because of what I've just been talking about with the

childcare.

So.

So yeah, if you haven't heard about the course, I have been trying so hard to promote

it like more confidently, if that makes sense.

I've been doing like making reels like an

actual Millennial.

And yeah, trying to do graphics every day on Instagram.

And of course still getting shadow banned because I share content about genocid

oppression and racism and all the things that get you shadow banned on the app.

So yeah, it's been very frustrating but fortunately I'm so grateful for everyone who

signed up to the waiting list.

It's meant I can effectively spam you and I

have been emailing like most days, but that's going to be over, I promise.

I'm going to take a bit of a break.

My partner and I and the baby and the rescue

dog are going to go to Cornwall for a week.

So I'm super excited about that.

horrific with all the vomiting and stuff.

So, yeah, I'm really excited about just

getting out of this 1 mile radius of my caravan and introducing Lee to the sea.

It's going to be amazing.

But anyway, so, yeah, just this is the last chance to join.

I'm going to be opening again for enrollment in the autumn slash winter.

I didn't want to confirm the dates because basically my best friend Taylor, content

warning here, like suicide, like who killed himself in prison.

Like we have his inquest at the end of November and I'm quite sort of alone in that

process.

So,

yeah, I don't know how much like prep work's gonna be involved.

Like the solicitors are just, you know what solicitors are like, they just leave stuff

till last minute and it's so frustrating and I don't know what my sort of like nervous system

state is going to be either because it's like very like his whole,

you know, the whole, his whole life and all of that last sort of 13 years of supporting him

in prison now and his like frequent suicide attempts and stuff.

Like it just,

yeah,

hardcore for me.

And like, I miss next to kin and yeah, like, I

just, I just don't know where I'll be like emotionally.

And these launches are like amazing.

Like you know, it's wonderful to be able to

earn what I need to survive for several months like in one go and to fundraise for the

apothecary.

But like I just don't.

Yeah, it takes also a lot of like mental

energy, like writing captions, creating content, answering questions.

There's a lot of admin and stuff.

So I just don't know where I'll be in the

autumn.

So yeah, you it possible for you to sign up now and then just revisit the course like

whenever you're ready.

Like if you know that you'll have the capacity

later on in the year, then you can join now and that way you're kind of like in it.

Does that make sense?

But yeah, I just want to emphasize that like it is an amazing offering.

Like no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Please listen to the episodes where I'm

talking about the content in much more depth.

All the different modules, how you know we can support you to change your life really through

herbalism, through understanding your nervous system and your physiology, understanding how

the body expresses distress, the links with chronic illness.

Like there's so much in there.

And yeah, plants are just like the best thing ever.

And I think they do offer so much to people in terms of connection and helping us feel more

in like safe and social and like if you're already a herbalist, I think it's a awesome

extra offering to like add to it because you know you will be supporting people is

inevitable.

You will have clients and people in your community and quote unquote patients like who,

who are being by trauma like non stop.

So yeah, having that kind of awareness is

really important and yeah, so I think yeah there's a lot of value there for everyone.

distribute to prisoners.

I already ordered a bunch of medicine making ingredients.

I'm just gonna be scaling up the herbal medicine care packages.

I'm been planning and dreaming and designing a new herb garden and been planning and dreaming

and designing a local kind of free clinic here where I live.

And I can also, you know, hopefully when Lisa Nursery be able to start supporting people one

to one again, which I'm really excited about.
