Welcome to the Frontline Herbalism Podcast with your host, Nicole Rose from the

Nicole:

Solidarity Apothecary.

Nicole:

This is your place for all things plants and

Nicole:

liberation.

Nicole:

Let's get started.

Nicole:

Hello.

Nicole:

Welcome back to the Frontline Herbalism

Nicole:

Podcast.

Nicole:

I'm really sorry, I wanted to publish the episode today with the like, crafting herbal

Nicole:

protocols for fatigue and depletion.

Nicole:

But just baby logistics I didn't set.

Nicole:

I normally set an alarm on like a nursery day

Nicole:

and didn't.

Nicole:

Me and Lee slept till like 7 o' clock in the morning, which probably sounds really early to

Nicole:

some people, but if you have a toddler, you'll know that that is like a good lion, given that

Nicole:

he fell asleep at five o' clock last night because he didn't have a nap yesterday.

Nicole:

So he, this child slept for like 14 hours, can you believe it?

Nicole:

And I also got like 10 hours sleep.

Nicole:

Miracle.

Nicole:

Anyway,

Nicole:

just feeding him, getting out the door, doing all the things.

Nicole:

Sometimes I genuinely do feel like I am living in an episode.

Nicole:

Is it Outnumbered? Can anyone remember that show for people

Nicole:

listening from the uk?

Nicole:

Anyway, I will, yeah, be hopefully recording it tomorrow,

Nicole:

but I just wanted to come in with a cheeky announcement to say it is pretty much the

Nicole:

final countdown for joining the waiting list for the Herbalism PTSD and Traumatic stress

Nicole:

course.

Nicole:

So, yeah, so the course is launching on Sunday, but on Saturday I will be emailing

Nicole:

everyone on the waiting list with two codes.

Nicole:

So one of them is the waiting list discount

Nicole:

code.

Nicole:

So this is 10% off for people who are enrolling at the standard rate or the resource

Nicole:

rate, which I'll talk about shortly.

Nicole:

And also the code for the solidarity places.

Nicole:

So for people wanting to access a course at a

Nicole:

sliding scale rate,

Nicole:

basically, if you're on the waiting list, it soothes my anxiety because I know how many

Nicole:

people are interested in the course.

Nicole:

I can do a bit of the maths and have a kind of better picture of how well you know, the

Nicole:

fundraising might go if you didn't know.

Nicole:

This course basically funds like 90% of the

Nicole:

sold out apothecary.

Nicole:

So all the things I do, like the books to prisoners all over the world, the herbal care

Nicole:

packages, the Black Flag free clinic,

Nicole:

this podcast, all the other solidarity stuff I do and just, yeah, my livelihood as like a

Nicole:

single mum.

Nicole:

So it's really ******* important to me.

Nicole:

And if you can join that waiting list, it just means that you're not going to ******* miss it

Nicole:

because it is an amazing course.

Nicole:

So if you haven't heard about the Herbalism, PTSD and traumatic stress course, I have A

Nicole:

bunch of podcast episodes where I'm talking about it in much more depth.

Nicole:

It's basically super comprehensive online course, eight modules, you can work through it

Nicole:

at whatever pace you like.

Nicole:

Whether you do one lesson a month or one lesson a year, it's totally up to you.

Nicole:

But it's all about how trauma shapes our body, how stress affects our health and our

Nicole:

physiology, our different nervous system states,

Nicole:

and all the herbal support possible from like nutritive herbs and nutritional deficiencies

Nicole:

that contribute to anxiety and insomnia, to nerve tonics for helping recover from chronic

Nicole:

stress.

Nicole:

Herbs with an affinity for the nervous system

Nicole:

as relaxants or sedatives or cardiac nervines.

Nicole:

There's 32 plant profiles in the course is super ******* comprehensive.

Nicole:

I literally don't think there's anything else like this that is quite so nervous system

Nicole:

specific.

Nicole:

And yeah, if you are new to herbalism, you'll learn absolutely shitloads.

Nicole:

If you're an experienced herbalist, you will also learn a lot.

Nicole:

Because I don't feel like this kind of stuff got covered in this kind of comprehensive way

Nicole:

in my clinical training.

Nicole:

It's something that I've put into practise through my life, through my one to one work,

Nicole:

through all my herbal solidarity stuff with refugees in France and Ukraine and everywhere

Nicole:

else.

Nicole:

So,

Nicole:

yeah, and no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Nicole:

So if you're able to access it at the standard rate, which is 225, that is amazing.

Nicole:

It will really, really help the solidarity apothecary and you can spread that payment out

Nicole:

over like five months.

Nicole:

If you want to contribute something like monthly at a lower rate, there's options to do

Nicole:

that.

Nicole:

So you might even just pop in like three

Nicole:

pounds a month as a donation.

Nicole:

Like that would be ******* amazing.

Nicole:

And then there's also a resource rate for

Nicole:

people who own houses or have kind of like unearned generational wealth.

Nicole:

Like basically if you're, you know, a landlord or you are living off a trust fund, things

Nicole:

like this,

Nicole:

the resource rate is 375.

Nicole:

And it sounds crazy but like four people

Nicole:

signing up at that rate can just be like a life changing amount of money for me and kind

Nicole:

of makes the difference with every course launch who signs up for that rate.

Nicole:

So I really, really, really appreciate the financial solidarity aspect of that.

Nicole:

And then the solidarity signing scale rate is basically from 0 to 2 to 5.

Nicole:

So you can choose whatever you can contribute in that scale.

Nicole:

Maybe it's 100 quid as a one off thing.

Nicole:

Maybe you want to set up a standing order.

Nicole:

That' £10amonth.

Nicole:

Or maybe you just need to access it for free right now and you could pop a donation in

Nicole:

later on.

Nicole:

It's totally up to you.

Nicole:

I grew up on fcking benefits with a single

Nicole:

mother.

Nicole:

I know how fcking rough capitalism can be.

Nicole:

I mean, I guess with the context of fcking living in England and white privilege and all

Nicole:

the other things.

Nicole:

But what I'm saying is like, I do not want anyone ******* not accessing this information,

Nicole:

this support, this resource because of ******* money and class and capitalism and all the

Nicole:

other fcking things.

Nicole:

So yeah, as a kind of act of class solidarity, I make sure that like no one is turned away

Nicole:

for lack of funds.

Nicole:

And I really mean that.

Nicole:

You don't need to disclose stuff about your financial circumstances.

Nicole:

You can just pop the ******* code in and you will get it for free if needed.

Nicole:

So if you want these codes, discount code, everything else, please join the waiting list.

Nicole:

The last chance is tomorrow, Friday.

Nicole:

I'm going to be sending the email Saturday

Nicole:

morning to everyone with those codes, so.

Nicole:

And yeah, if you can share about the course on your networks, on your social media, I really

Nicole:

appreciate it.

Nicole:

And yeah, feel free to drop us an email if you have any questions about the course.

Nicole:

The course information page has shitloads of information,

Nicole:

loads of testimonials from people that have worked through it.

Nicole:

And yeah, I just want people to ******* access it because we are living in a really

Nicole:

traumatising world that is unlikely to become less traumatising anytime soon.

Nicole:

So we need it all together.

Nicole:

We need the herbal support, we need the social

Nicole:

change and the kind of structural changes that prevent ******* trauma in the first place.

Nicole:

But yeah, in the meantime,

Nicole:

while we are in this very interesting world, we, yeah, I think we need to connect with

Nicole:

plants and access that support and care and solidarity from the plant world the best we

Nicole:

can.

Nicole:

So anyway, thank you for listening to this tiny announcement.

Nicole:

I will be back soon with the other podcasts about fatigue and I'm also gonna start talking

Nicole:

about sleep as well and herbal support for sleep and insomnia.

Nicole:

So look forward to that.

Nicole:

Okay, thanks so much.

Nicole:

Thanks so much for listening to the Frontline Herbalism podcast.
